Norwich paedophile jailed for two years for sexual assault

Jeremy Simeons, 50, has been jailed for two years (Norfolk Police).

Jeremy Simeons was sentenced yesterday, 19th May, after admitting sexually assaulting a child staying at a house where he was present.

The 50-year-old, of Medeswell Close in Brundall, was also issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to sign the sex offenders' register.

The female victim, under the age of the 13, was assaulted on 11th October 2019, and later spoke to her parents about the incident who then contacted the police.

Detective Constable Richard Wallis said after the sentencing: "This young girl was in the care of an adult who was trusted by her parents.

"He abused the trust of the girl and her parents when he carried out the offence on someone who was vulnerable and in his care.

"These offences can often leave a mark on their victim for the rest of their lives and it’s only because the girl was brave enough to speak up and tell her parents what had happened that the perpetrator was brought to justice.

"We hope the court case will help to bring some closure for the victim and her family."
