Norfolk-based RNLI shops flourishing

RNLI shops in both the Sheringham High Street and Station shops are bucking the trend of downward sales across high street shops nationally.

Both shops were named as one of the top four retail arms in the country, alongside Tenby, Whitby and Poole by the end of 2019.

RNLI volunteers at the shops have received special recognition for their efforts, particularly with a drop in visitor numbers.

Sheringham Lifeboat Operations Manage, Brian Farrow, said:

"The success of our Lifeboat Shops in our small town of Sheringham is entirely due to the consistent hard work of our volunteers, led by the two shop managers.

"It is so fantastic to see their hard work has paid off."

The RNLI provides a 24-hour search and rescue service across the UK and operates over 200 lifeboat stations nationally.
