The strong winds expected this weekend have caused organisers of Love Light Norwich to cancel much of their programme for Saturday 15th February for safety reasons.
The Valentine's Parade tonight, 14th February, will still be going ahead though.
Norwich Business Improvement District (BID), who have organised the three day event which started on Thursday, says the Saturday evening Flood Light performance by The Neutrinos with Sal Pittman and The Vital Spark will still be going ahead as planned inside The Halls.
Caroline Bidewell, head of operations, said: "With forecasts of Storm Dennis winds approaching 50-70 miles per hour in the region, we cannot guarantee the safety of visitors, crew or volunteers, so have made the hard decision to cancel much of Saturday’s programming.
"We have to put everyone’s safety first.
"We’re therefore encouraging everyone to come and enjoy Love Light Norwich tonight, as the festival will go ahead as planned.
"Our headlining music event for Saturday night, Floodlight by The Neutrinos (which has sold out), will go ahead as planned as this is being held indoors at The Halls."
Love Light Norwich is a new light festival which was launched of 13th February with the theme of love and belonging, featuring a free art trail, a range of performances and exhibits, and extended market opening hours on the first night.
