Charity music festival hits the streets of Norwich

Local musicians will be kicking off the Oxjam Festival tomorrow all over Norwich, with 100% of profits going towards Oxfam's charity work.

Local musicians will be kicking off the Oxjam Festival tomorrow all over Norwich performing for free to aid the charity in their humanitarian work.

All money raised goes back into the work the charity does with disadvantaged people all over the world.

Music will be coming from venues throughout the city showing off local talent whilst raising money for poverty stricken areas of the world.

Minty Taylor, lead singer of local band Space Is Big is amongst the many local musicians playing as part of the festival.

He told us why he wanted to participate in the festival:

Put on by Oxfam, the festival also aims to promote local music by using purely regional musicians and bands who originate from the area.

Minty told us he believes that this is something that makes Oxjam stand out because it promotes local people:

Many musicians, bands and poets will be performing in five different venues throughout the day starting at midday and going on until 1am. All details can be found on the Oxjam Norfolk website.
